20181218 Weekly Update

Christmas is coming!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and there are few of us with coal in our stockings. (unless that’s what you wanted from Santa.) 😊

The days here in Cali are getting shorter and the traffic is getting hectic.  Thankfully, my days at work are approaching a nice break. (You know, that place with the money-for-stress exchange plan) I’ve had less productivity this week as last-minute holiday tasks have taken up my time.  Decorating my humble abode, putting up the tree and staring at the lights with wonder and joy.  These things need to be done, you know.

Instagram postings are still going well.  I’ve had a surprising uptick in followers lately.  I don’t know if it has to do with the hashtags I’ve been using or the new follows I’ve added.  (So many hiking gems out there!)  Facebook is slowing down and many of my fellow authors are putting out promotions for the season.  I wish I could join in but I’m trying to finalize all my edits and rewrites, so I don’t have to backtrack as I get the latest book out into the world.  Next year will be another story.  Onwards!

My Insta-fave this week is one that I hold close to my heart.  I always keep in mind how our hopes and dreams begin inside us and flourish over time until the passion we feel becomes a great dream worth following.  Onwards! 😊

The dreams we follow are always growing inside us, guiding our path and making life a beautiful adventure. Onwards! +

Question: If a person asks you for the truth, are you the kind of person that will say it or tell them what they want to hear?

My answer: I temper the truth with kindness. If it doesn’t help I don’t see a reason to cause harm to the one asking. 🤠

Final personal note:  There have been a few odd struggles this week that have been challenging on different fronts.  On one level, I’ve had to deal with increased stress driving to and from work while on another level, the events at work have been taking a few odd turns that produce more stress and less productivity.  Anyone ever wonder if new procedures are designed to slow down productivity?  Just a thought.

Regardless, the holiday season is upon us and a new year approaches.  May we all find our wishes coming true and gain some rest and recuperation as Christmas approaches.  Onwards! 😊
