20180812 Weekly Update

Whew!  What a week!  I got the daily Instagrams done, posted my monthly Vlog and had to work on a Sunday.  (Did you know I’m employed?)  Yup.  Until you see my name on the bestseller list or a movie is made to skyrocket my sales, employment is essential for those little things in life.  You know, rent, food, gas, car payments and other things I can’t live without… like Netflix.  😊

I also got my manuscript back from my editor.  YAY!  Now I can get to work on implementing everything that was found, every change that needs to be done and every missed plot hole that I overlooked… Um…yay?

I’ve also posted another IGTV video and plan to do so for the next few weeks as long as my stress level doesn’t pop an aneurysm in my noggin.  (I know what you’re rooting for, Mister Grim Reaper!  Don’t smirk at me like that!)

I’m also looking into other places to connect.  Mostly because there is an increase in censorship lately along the traditional social media sites.  Although I’m a saint by comparison to most online folk, when people start getting knocked off social media I see red flags everywhere.  Hmmm… is MySpace still around? 😊

While I am loving Instagram and the new vid feature, I will always love the written word.  For this week’s fave, I chose my fave writing buddy.  Joe Cool himself is always an inspiration to my works.  A faithful companion and a dreamer of the highest caliber.

We must all find that one creative outlet that shows the obstacles we have overcome, the barriers we have surpassed and the victories we have accomplished. Onwards! +

With so much effort being placed on editing and expanding my awareness of what is possible, I thought it interesting when someone posted the question below.  Ah, Facebook, you are never at a loss for providing a reason to lose reason. 😊

Question: Who speaks multiple languages and what are they?

My Answer: English, bad English, Spanish, Spanglish, Pig-Latin, Gibberish, Mumbling, Double-speak, Sub-text, Body Language and significant glances no one ever sees. Once in a blue moon, I think I can understand the opposite sex and manage open communication for a while but by the next moon-rise I’m back to being clueless.. 🤠

On a more personal note, I am hopeful that I will be able to finish the revision to Ripples of Mind by next month and release it at long last.  I also intend to get the latest book Reflections in Darkness out before the year is done.  This is a monumental task as the editing process has proven to be more time intensive than I thought.  I will do my best to expedite the process.

One thing I plan to do this year that has been on my mind for a while is one final NaNoWriMo in November.  I have been meeting the challenge since 2008 and it only seems fitting that after a decade, I will no longer use the month to create new books for myself.  I will be writing every day of the year and producing as much content as I possibly can.  I’ve put off the creative urges inside me long enough.  This year I will enter my fifth decade on this adventure called life and the clock is ticking.  I do not intend to let time pass by without giving it my all with the time I have.  May we all find the joys that life offers and make our passion… our LIFE.  Onwards! 😊
