20180429 Weekly Update

As we conclude the week of April, I look forward to the coming months of great weather and brighter days.  New projects are underway and new inspirations await us all.  Let us set our sights on the horizon and stride forward.  Onwards! 😊

Below is My fave Instagram for the week.  I hope to capture many more as the May days carry us into the middle of the year. 😊

Set your sights high and never let them fall. When you reach for the sky you rise above all expectations. Onwards! +

My favorite post in Facebook this week was in reply to someone asking about talent vs. hard work.  I do not dislike talent.  I feel I have some and know many others who have more, but in the end, actions produce results.  Untapped potential is forever lost. 😊

Question: Can hard work surpass talent?

My answer: Talent doesn’t provide motivation. A lazy talented person will always fail against a determined amateur.

A final personal note:  This week was brief, not because of lack of productivity but because I was a bit lost in thought with the latest Marvel movie.  Yes, I did watch Avengers: Infinity War along with the countless others who could not resist the pull of the box office this weekend.  For those who don’t know it, I am a very old fan of comic stories.  Many years ago, I read and loved them just as much as books.  Comics arrived monthly and books yearly, so those great old tales of superheroes kept my mind alive with possibilities.

Most comic stories coming out today are at least thirty years old, so despite not having read comics of modern years, the stories of the cinema still hold nostalgia and fascination for me as I see the stuff of my youthful dreams come to life in living color.  I hope everyone enjoys the stories that capture youthful imagination and live to see them re-imagined for a new generation with both nostalgia and joy.  Until next week:  Onwards!
